Riverview High School is a four-year comprehensive high school with a student population of over 2,500 students. Riverview High School has a dedicated staff committed to continuous school improvement. This includes a vision of increased student academic achievement through proven successful instructional strategies. Riverview’s mission is to be “All about learning.” The administrative team also places great emphasis upon promoting, recognizing and rewarding academic, as well as athletic achievement among students and staff. A number of buildings have been added since the school’s opening in 1958, including an expanded library and physical education facilities. Riverview High School employs 131 classrooms teachers and 11 Exceptional Student Education teachers. 85 teachers total have Masters Degrees.
Riverview High School is located in Sarasota, FL. Sarasota and its county by the same name boast 35 miles of beaches and six barrier islands. At Siesta Key, snorkel to see sea sponges on Crescent Beach or a Turtle Beach. St. Armand’s Key not only has inviting silky sand beaches, but is also home to a 100-store shopping area with plenty of relaxing courtyards and patios. Also worth a visit is Historic Spanish Point in Osprey to see how ancestors lived in sparser conditions. At the Marie Selby Botanic Gardens, you can view the 20,000 exotic plants that grow here, including orchids and bromeliads, displayed in a greenhouse that is reminiscent of a miniature rain forest. Sarasota is a great place to work also. A healthy economy, diverse industries and a strong forecasted job growth are what make this city stand out.
